eCOGRA ( eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance ) was setup  in 2003, with funding from the likes of Microgaming and 888.

The purpose of eCOGRA is to ensure fair gaming and operator conduct, resolving disputes between players and those online casinos which have been accredited by eCOGRA,

eCOGRA is self funding and is an independent organisation, free of control from any company.

The directors of eCOGRA are high profile figures with a strong background in the gaming industry.

eCOGRA’S Aims

eCOGRA headed up by CEO Andrew Beveridge provides reassurance to all players who play at casinos who have been awarded the eCOGRA Seal. 

Their mission statement is to provide greater protection for players. All casinos which apply to be accredited by eCOGRA are subject to continual review and have to adhere to eCOGRA’s operators code of conduct. This involves:

“Enforcing industry standards through inspections, reviews, and continuous monitoring of every aspect of online gaming operations, including business efficiency, dispute procedures, customer service and support, responsible gaming measures and fair gaming.”

In addition eCOGRA aims to improve standards in the online gaming industry by regularly updating and introducing new measures to ensure the safety of players worldwide.
